All flight data has been digitally
recorded by your EFIS system. This data is transferred to your PC (via
removable data card or download) and displayed in 2D profile form. The
profile view shows at a glance whether or not the aircraft was stabilized
enough for the data to be meaningful. Data is selected by clicking on the beginning
and end of each flight segment you wish to capture.
In the example above, we are measuring climb performance at a particular
gross weight. This portion of the flight contains four climb segments,
each at a different airspeed. To measure climb performance, each climb
would be captured by clicking on the beginning and end of each climb. All
data points for the selected portions would then be used to build a climb
performance database that will then be used to create performance graphs.
It only
takes a few minutes to go from the raw data above, to complete performance
graphs like the one shown below.
