"Point and Click" Data Capture


Data entry from a Flight Performance Recorder is simple. All flight data has been digitally recorded on the FPR’s Data Card. The software reads this into your PC using the Card Reader supplied with each FPR. The flight is then displayed in 2D profile form where data is selected by clicking on the beginning and end of each data segment you wish to capture. The profile view shows at a glance whether or not the aircraft was stabilized enough for the data to be meaningful. 


In the example above, we are measuring climb performance at a particular gross weight. This portion of the flight contains four climb segments, each at a different airspeed. To measure climb performance, each climb would be captured by clicking on the beginning and end of each climb. All data points for the selected portions would then be used to build a climb performance database that will then be used to create performance graphs.

 
It only takes a few minutes to go from the raw data above, to complete performance graphs like the one shown below.
